New endorsements

This week, I was endorsed by Ev Evertsen, a former Hartland Township (McHenry Co.) Supervisor; Frank Napolitano, a Bartlett village trustee and candidate for U46 School Board; and Gary Percy, a U46 School Board candidate.

Filing deadline

The filing ended today, at 4:30. At about 4:40, I talked to the township clerk, Anne Hansen. She said that six candidates filed for four trustee seats. I filed first.

Regional Board of Schools; Kevin O'Connell, a former Palatine Township clerk; Glenn Garamoni, a candidate for Fremont Township supervisor, and Greg Jacobs, a candidate for Mundelein village trustee. Filing my petitions

Yesterday, I filed my petitions.  The township office opened at 8:30, and I arrived at about 6:45, to ensure that my name will be the first, on my section of the ballot.

More about me

I'm the only veteran, in the 7th District race.  I was in the navy for 21 years (11 on active duty and 10 in the reserves).  I was near Baghdad, in the Triangle of Death, in a marine infantry battalion, for six months.

If I'm elected to Congress, I'll only vote for bills that obey the Constitution.  Too many congressmen, including Rep. Davis, vote for laws that violate the 10th Amendment.  I'll never vote for tax rate increases, and I think that tax rates and federal spending should be lower.

My district

If you know anyone, who lives in the 7th Congressional District, please ask them to write my name and vote for me.  The district includes downtown Chicago, Oak Park, Bellwood, Maywood, part of Berwyn, and part of La Grange Park.
